A new study finds that more than two-thirds of men in the U. S. experience depression, and they are also suffering from an array of mental health conditions.
The study was conducted by researchers from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Georgia at Athens. The research team was led by study author Dr. Steven M. Siegel of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and led by Dr. Edward J. Koeppe of the University of Georgia at Athens.
Siegel, a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Psychiatry, said the research was done to examine the potential effects of treatment of finasteride (brand name Propecia) on the depression, depression and related conditions.
